TOTAL FIRE BAN DAYS
Absolutely no flying of any kind (including gliders) on days of Total Fire Ban. No one should be at the field unless required to respond to an emergency.

FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT
The cart containing two ABC extinguishers and two knapsacks are stored in the white container. All members are responsible for knowing how to use this equipment.
No flying should commence unless there is at least the following at the flight line:
One or both Knapsacks - ensuring they are filled with water.
One of the ABC fire extinguishers.
At least one Fire Beater.
IF A MODEL COMES DOWN AND FIRE STARTS
It is your responsibility to extinguish the fire completely and ensure there is no residual embers or chance of it restarting.
Wait at least 30 minutes and do a final check of the area before leaving the field.
Report the incident to the President on 0404 748 741 or the Secretary on 0409 983 951 as soon as possible and before leaving the field.
Stop on the way out and notify MulchXpress, if they are onsite, of what happened and the action taken.
IF A MODEL IS LOST AND NOT RECOVERED
Wait at least 30 minutes before leaving and scan for any smoke.
Report the incident to a committee member as soon as possible, preferably before leaving the field.
In the case of electric models, stop on the way out, notify MulchXpress if anyone is present and attempt to identify the most likely location.
IF YOU ARE AT THE FIELD AND A GRASS FIRE OCCURS
Call 000 and give the SEMAC GPS coordinates -38.0534 +145.19714
Do not attempt to extinguish the fire unless it is minor and safe to do so.
Wait for the CFA, if it is safe to do so and you are sure of your ability to exit the field. Note: You may need to open the MX front gate using the usual procedure.
