Membership with SEMAC
The first step in becoming a member of the South Eastern Model aircraft Club is to visit our flying field on a Sunday morning and speak to a committee member who can answer any question you may have.
Alternately, you can make contact with a committee member by phone or email as listed on "The Committee" page on our web site, or simply via the "Contact Us" page.
Whether you are new to RC and wish to learn to fly, or from another MAAA affiliated club you will be invited to complete a membership form and to attend over 4-5 Sunday training mornings as a “prospective member”, a period intended for you to familiarize yourself with the club personalities, club activities and the established culture that is SEMAC. Flying or RC training during this period will be supervised by a SEMAC senior member or instructor. All intended to ensure a safe and informative experience at SEMAC.
Following attendance at Sunday training days the prospective member can decide if SEMAC is for them and will either be invited to complete the membership procedure or can discontinue without submitting any membership fee.
We are a non competitive club with no special interest groups and we enjoy the comradery that SEMAC membership offers. In joining SEMAC you will become a fully insured member of the Model Aeronautical Association of Australia (MAAA) and be able to enjoy all the wider benefits membership with an MAAA affiliated club has to offer.
